Why can Duratia 90 Mg cause headaches?
Duratia 90 mg contains dapoxetine, a short-acting SSRI used to treat premature ejaculation. Headache is one of its most common side effects, and it happens for a few reasons: 1. Changes in Serotonin Levels Dapoxetine increases serotonin activity in the brain. This sudden increase can affect blood vessels and pain pathways in the head, leading to headaches. 2. Vasodilation (Blood Vessel Widening) Like other SSRIs, dapoxetine can cause mild blood vessel dilation, which can trigger a throbbing or pressure-type headache in some individuals. 3. Dehydration or Mild Blood Pressure Drops Dapoxetine may cause: Lightheadedness Mild drops in blood pressure Increased urination or dehydration for some users These changes can make headaches more likely, especially if you are dehydrated or take the medication without enough water. 4. Interaction With Alcohol Taking Duratia 90 Mg with alcohol increases: Headache Dizziness Risk of fainting Alcohol + dapoxetine often worsens side effects. 5. Higher Dose = Higher Side-Effect Chance Duratia 90 mg is a high dose. The higher the dose, the more intense or frequent side effects like headache, nausea, or dizziness can be. If headaches are frequent or severe, it’s important to speak with a doctor—they may recommend lowering the dose (e.g., to 30 mg or 60 mg), switching medication, or taking it with food and plenty of water.
